Verdict

Bowling Green can follow up his Exeter win, with Blackchurch Mist seen as his biggest danger. The Jonjo O'Neill-trained selection looked to be back to something like his best Irish form when scoring comfortably under a confidence-boosting ride from the promising amateur Alan Berry last time. The champ takes over today and, just like in Devon, the selection can do us another good turn across the border in Somerset. Lago di Levico won from a mark of 101 two years ago but has clearly had his problems since. Much as he showed promise on his return on June 27, he did not fare so well last time. What You Know keeps getting placed but probably lacks the finishing kick of the selection, but Blackchurch Mist must be rated a big danger. The Brendan Duke-trained mare is now officially rated 92 but won a handicap hurdle from a mark of 112 in August of last year. A promising run behind Liberman at Market Rasen last time augured well for her chances today and she can go well. The other pair have something to prove, although Joli Saddlers looked promising in 2001 before injury took its toll. Once again, then, the road leads back to Bowling Green, who gets the vote.
