In depth

Verdict

Platinum Boy, bought out of a seller here earlier this month by present connections for 6,000 guineas, should at least make a contribution to that fee by picking up some place money. He holds Senor Pedro on earlier form and the two to concentrate on look to be Pooka's Daughter and the improving Yalla. The former has been running well here through the winter and being from the same family as the useful 10-furlong performer Albuhera, she can be expected to find improvement for the step up in trip. However, the choice has to be Yalla, who was a wide margin winner at Southwell last month. He found plenty of improvement for the step up in trip that day and can continue his upward curve here.
