Verdict

Division Two looks as open as division one, and we'll side with BANKS AND BRAES ahead of stablemate Deely Plaza and Edward Whymper. Richard Hannon traditionally does well here and Banks And Braes has been learning the game in three runs over a variety of trips. He's going to the sales later in the month but, in a field which has yet to produce a winner, his form (albeit moderate in better company) stands up. He looks the pick of the yard's two runners here, the other being Deely Plaza who makes his nursery debut. Edward Whymper's best effort came last time out when runner-up at Redcar in a similar contest. Further improvement can be expected and could be enough to land this. Deely Plaza is making his nursery debut and steps up in trip; he's the highest rated, but hasn't pulled up any trees so far. The market may guide us here, both for those to back and those to swerve.
