Verdict

A wide open finale in which a dozen punters may come up with as many possible winners, but our selection is Richard Hannon's CAYMAN SKY who is joined on the shortlist by Broughtons Paradis and Sparkaway. Cayman Sky remains a maiden after 12 outings but this could be lucky 13 as there's not too much here to beat. Placed in a claimer last time out that was his best effort for a while; incidentally he's entered in another claimer tomorrow. Broughtons Paradis has made a pleasing start to her career; disappointing last time out she seemed not to get a mile and a half at Wolverhampton, having previously won over almost as long at Yarmouth, so maybe it was the Polytrack she didn't like. Until then she was getting better with every run so maybe we can put a line through that effort and give her another chance on turf. Sparkaway's best form, including a couple of wins at this level over a similar trip have come on turf, and he's not been able to replicate that on Polytrack, so a return to grass is a big positive. He may be in the grip of the handicapper though.
