TOBY JUG is preferred of the four last time out winners in this field whilst Apollo Creed and Fair Point must also be considered. The gelding is in rare form at the moment and Timmy Murphy partners Toby Jug in preference to Quarry Town whose own form figures are less compelling. He's 13lbs higher than when scoring on debut for the yard over a similar trip to today's at Newton Abbot but that could be worse in the current era of hefty rises given that he scored by 14 lengths and ten lengths. Templer has taken advantage of a lower mark over hurdles to win his last two starts over timber and has to be respected back over birch given his current form. Classic Clover is another that has won his last two but he hasn't always been the most reliable in the past and it could be dangerous to assume that he's turned over a new leaf. I Hear Thunder is capable on his day but this is more competitive than the race he won at Fontwell so he looks opposable under a penalty. Apollo Creed and Fair Point both lost their way but have claims on the pick of their efforts whilst Kilcrea Asla could make more progress if he brushes up on his jumping. However, there are no such concerns with Toby Jug who is on a roll at present.
