In depth

Verdict

Bourbonisto took an age to warm up at Doncaster on Saturday but stayed on strongly in the closing stages and the extended 5f will be in his favour. CHEVALIER DU LAC was beaten fair and square by Twizzell at Beverley but the winner was only a couple of lengths off Vona in a Listed contest at York last week so the form looks strong enough for this. Jollydee hasn't done much wrong and his third place behind Orewa at Beverley was boosted when the winner carried a penalty to victory on the same track. Showdance Kid is related to plenty of winners and the market is best watched for clues to the remainder.
