In depth

Verdict

Ninepointsixthree has twice finished second over 2m1f at Exeter recently, though it's not certain that this step up in distance is going to suit. The Tailgater hasn't raced since finishing fifth here on his hurdling debut on Boxing Day but has plenty of scope. Soupy Soups has an even longer absence to overcome but has won a point-to-point so stamina won't be a problem. INDY FIVE (NAP) has also won between the flags so it was no surprise that he got outpaced in the closing stages over 2m at Uttoxeter. He wasn't disgraced, however, and can open his account under Rules today.
