In depth

Verdict

Joe McHugh is the choice here with Lambrini Bianco, Tribal Dancer and Roddy The Vet rated as the main dangers. A winner around this course last time out in heavy ground, the extra four-and-a-half furlongs today should not be a problem and he is a confident selection, not least because the half-brother to Fundamentalist is potentially well handicapped. Lambrini Bianco was last of four finishers at Carlisle last time in bottomless ground and might appreciate a return to a sounder surface having previously run a good second at Huntingdon. Roddy The Vet stayed on for fourth last time out behind Kings Bounty but his overall profile suggests he will struggle at this kind of trip. Meanwhile Tribal Dancer represents the Venetia Williams yard but he could have too much to do off topweight over this trip. Once again, then, Joe Mchugh is the choice.
