    Verdict

I Like Him is having a first run in this country having failed to win in eight attempts in France but another French import, Sainte Doctor, won over 2m in May though is only one of several promising converts from the Flat. Palladium didn’t win for Martyn Meade on the level but was placed three times up to 1m6f and has now joined the Nicky Henderson yard. Hydroplane won three times up to 1m4f for Sir Mark Prescott but ROWLAND WARD was rated higher after winning over 1m4f at Doncaster and later finishing second at Ripon. The latter could be a useful recruit to jumping and makes more appeal than stablemate Maskada.
