In depth

Verdict

Norwegian, Premier Dream and Big Bad Burt look to be the principles in this wide open handicap and we will give the nomination to Norwegian. The colt from the David Loder yard is still lightly-raced and open to plenty of improvement, and he ran well enough at Lingfield last time behind Jomus to suggest that his turn would not be far away. Premier Dream rates the main danger on his third behind Cesare at Beverley, but he had the race run to suit that day and might be flattered by the bare form of that run. Big Bad Burt could be interesting as he was well supported in the market last time at Lingfield when third behind Lady Piste. He could go well but is not the most straightforward character and the percentage call is to oppose him. Mr Belverdere and Daring Affair are the other two that have to be considered here, but Norwegian has plenty going for him and is given the vote.
