Verdict

CASTLETOWN BRIDGE was backed as though defeat was out of the question at Worcester and duly obliged in impressive fashion. He has more on his plate here under a penalty but still looks the most likely winner. Peg Leg was well backed ahead of his debut at Perth but still looked a little green and could only finish third. He should have more to offer while Motou wasn't disgraced in either start last season and may also have a future. Sure Thing was third at Ludlow in May but tailed off when favourite at Market Rasen the following month and has a bit to prove now. Ifyouletmefinish may prove the best of the newcomers.
