Ubaldo Des Menhies looked sure to score for most of the home straight at Southwell before being reeled in on the run-in. It was a good effort all the same and Richie McLernon will probably opt to hold on to him a little longer this time around. Java Rose inhabits a fair mark and David Pipe is doubly represented via Perspicace, open to improvement, and A Hairy Koala, not ruled out on the return from a break. Alwaystheoptimist has to be of interest dropped 5lb by the assessor and Richard Johnson booked but BATHS WELL seems sure to pick up a handicap hurdle sooner or later and only found the well-handicapped Thinger Licht too good last time. He goes well for the stable conditional and can go one better.
