In depth

Verdict

After a spell chasing, DOLORES DELIGHTFUL (NAP) reverted to hurdles with a fair third at Wincanton and Richard Johnson keeps the partnership intact. Her second to Desert Queen at Sandown a year ago reads well in a race like this and she looks the one to beat. Altesse De Guye was a similar distance behind the same mare at Ascot in November so also has every chance, though hasn't raced since. Timon's Tara opened her account at Ludlow two weeks ago but is taking on stronger opposition today. Uttoxeter runner-up Streets Of Promise is preferred to Lakeshore Lady and the disappointing Jean Fleming of the others.
