Verdict

HIGH JACK for Andrew Turnell is well fancied for this novice chase and gets the vote ahead of challengers Just Standeese and The Randy Bishop. Turnell's gelding has been a winner at this track on his last two outings where in the most recent run showed a vast improvement in his jumping and won going away. With that in mind High Jack will be a worthy favourite for a stable in form. Seamus Mullins' Just Standeese posted a second place in a weak handicap here in April and improved on his next outing when third in a better contest last time. He has a decent weight advantage over his main rival and with Wayne Kavanagh on board also claiming three expect this six-year-old to be close. The Randy Bishop is a horse on the improve at the moment and he has posted better performances from each of his last three runs. He'll have to concede weight to the main protagonists here, which might just prove crucial, but don't rule out a placing with the selection High Jack proving too strong for the lot of them.
