Fingal's Cave has done all his winning over 7f so far but Waarif will appreciate the return to a mile, though has yet to win a handicap. The latter comment also applies to Archie but he’s still preferred to Midnight Macchiato, who finished in front of Wasm when third in a lower grade contest here recently. HELOVAPLAN completed a double last term that included a course and distance success. He’ll need to improve further off his current mark but Bryan Smart’s four-year-old may do just that with a recent placed effort at Musselburgh under his belt.
