Tawny Port beat Van Gerwen when scoring in soft going at Pontefract last time but is upped in class on faster ground and CAPTAIN COLBY (NAP) makes more appeal. The latter was beaten less than a length in this grade at Newmarket recently and a similar effort should see Paul Midgley’s sprinter bang there at the finish. Barrington slipped down the weights last year and may do better having only his second start for new connections while Rasheeq is capable at this level on his day if rediscovering his best and Wentworth Falls is not badly treated on last year’s winning form.
