Verdict

There have been some big weights carried to victory in this so don't ignore the chances of Muharrer, who has been in superb form and landed a tough handicap at Ayr last time when the consistent Dubai Hills was beaten a couple of lengths into third. His stablemate Osteopathic Remedy won this in 2011 and, though not in the best of form, is actually 6lb lower than his last win a year ago. Farlow won over 7f here in April and has been running consistently from this mark but the vote goes to ANDERIEGO. David O'Meara's charge has bounced back to form on fast ground and was impressive at York last time. Connections shouldn't be too disappointed with a 5lb rise and he can follow up. Kingscroft has been running well enough to consider with Robert Winston's stronger handling a bonus while Mark Johnston's three-year-olds Crowdmania and Potent Embrace are respected from the bottom of the handicap, though both have plenty to do.
