Verdict

CHANCES ARE has a very smart pedigree and, though no match for the long odds-on Teruntum Star at Carlisle, showed that an ordinary maiden such as this would be well within her scope. Kevin Ryan trains that winner and has Fast Magic entered here and he showed very good pace for a long way over 6f at Haydock. After a very slow start to the season, the Ann Duffield yard has been firing in the winners and the speedily-bred Colombia made an encouraging start over this course and distance. Tim Easterby's yard is another going well and Pacngo made a good impression at Ripon when staying on after a slow start.
