Verdict

Jazz Night lines up in form and can pay to follow again ahead of Specular, Knight's Emperor and Joey Tribbiani. Shaun Lycett has made a cracking start to his training career, and although he saddled his first loser on Wednesday, the team continue in fine form, so hopes are high that former hunter Jazz Night can do the business again after scoring at Worcester and Huntingdon at the end of last month. This race was nominated by connections afterwards, and although Tony McCoy now switches to Specular, Timmy Murphy is an able deputy. Specular has failed to impress since being sent chasing, but now lines up on a more favourable mark than last season. He was useful in Australia and took on the best over hurdles here last spring, but may be destined never to hit the heights and is worth taking on. Knight's Emperor gained a hard-fought win at Newton Abbot but has lot more on his plate here, and Joey Tribbiani may be a bigger danger after his comeback win here last time. A fairly open affair can go to Jazz Night.
