In depth

Verdict

Musical Guest turns out quickly following an excellent effort at Lingfield and is taken to return to winning ways, Vegas Boys and Genoa Star are two others to consider in a wide open event. The selection looked to have plenty to do at halfway in that Lingfield event, but finished to some effect and was just beaten into third behind In A Flash and Well Armed. His previous run was just as encouraging and as he goes on any type of ground, he looks the safest option here. Genoa Star showed improved form last time to finish fourth behind Lazzoom in a Redcar seller. There may be more to come and she could go close off her low weight. At the other end of the handicap we have Vegas Boys, an impressive winner at Warwick last time, who has to be considered for each-way purposes. Myths And Verses is a consistent type and should pick up a race before long, but on this occasion we will take a chance with Musical Guest.
