No Shenanigans can master Neutron in this beginners' chase, with Full House and Anatar best of the rest. No Shenanigans is out to make up for lost time, having been absent for two years after finishing fourth to Kickham in the 2002 Aintree Champion Bumper. Nicky Henderson decided to bypass going the hurdles route and sent the the son of Kings Ride straight over fences at Taunton on his return to the fray in February, and although well beaten by Well Chief, he showed enough to suggest that he can pay to follow. He again found Well Chief and company too strong in a Grade 1 chase at Aintree in April but was expected to open his account when dropped in grade at Hereford recently. However, he was narrowly beaten by chasing debutante Lik Wood Power who could turn out to be useful, and as the third horse home was a long was behind, the form should stand up. Neutron was also a beaten favourite last time, when some sketchy jumping contributed to his downfall. Martin Pipe's challenger was quite useful on the Flat in Ireland but does not look a world-beater-even so he makes most appeal of the rest, including stablemate Anatar, Paul Webber's Full House and the mare Rose Tea. On this occasion though, the class of No Shenanigans should ensure that he comes out on top.
