Smart Scot has won his last three starts (the last two over course and distance) and is taken to complete the four-timer at the main expense of the luckless Jessie and Brilliantrio. The last mentioned unseated his rider at the start last time but has claims on earlier form but a bigger threat looks to be Jessie, who has found one too good in each of her last three starts. However, she has a length-and-a-quarter to find with the selection on running here last time and it is difficult to see how she can reverse that form. Alastair Smellie would win this easily if he was able to reproduce anything like his old form but he is very much on the downgrade and of more interest may be Neutral Night, who finished third behind Smart Scot and Jessie here last time. The winner scored with enough in hand that day to warrant the vote today though and Smart Scot is difficult to oppose.
