Quite a tricky little heat with the top weight Strong Hand returning to sprinting after failing to stay the easy mile at Ripon. She, along with course and distance winner Voluptuous and Paul D'Arcy's maiden Just Jennifer, look the one's to concentrate on, with the latter getting the vote. Although she has yet to prove herself here, she did show promise on the Fibresand at Wolverhampton earlier this week, when chasing home the odds on Steel Cat, over a trip which looked as though it was plenty far enough for her. This drop back in distance looks sure to suit and she is taken to lose her maiden tag. There shouldn't be much between her and Voluptuous on these terms, but the selection may be open to that bit more improvement. Strong Hand is another who looks likely to benefit from the drop in trip and runs off the same mark as when landing a nursery at Hamilton last July. If she takes to this surface, she must go well. Of the others Musical Key, a half-sister to five winners, is out of a mare that won twice over this trip as a juvenile and may be capable of improvement on this first attempt over this trip.
