A maximum turnout and with none of the newcomers looking anything special on breeding, this looks set to go to something with experience. That includes the likes of Four Amigos, who ran well from a poor draw at Beverley on his debut, Muy Bien, close up in what looked a decent maiden at Yarmouth, Ninah, who has course experience and Cotosol, who was well fancied for a better race than this at Ripon and he gets the nod. Bryan McMahon's gelding showed plenty of pace that day and although worn down in the latter stages, he showed enough to suggest a small race can come his way. He isn't that well drawn here, but he does have the edge in experience and can make that tell. He may have most to fear from Ninah, who proved she handled this surface on her debut, when runner-up to Are You There in a similar contest to this. Muy Bien is certainly going the right way, but he may do better when he goes handicapping, while Four Amigos showed plenty of pace from a poor draw on his debut and would be a live threat if taking to this surface. The best of the newcomers could be Get To The Point, who hails from a very shrewd yard and the only two-year-old they have run so far went off favourite at Yarmouth and was only just denied. If the market speaks in his favour, he won't be far away.
