In depth

Verdict

Several of these arrive here in good heart particularly Walter De La Mare, who followed some good efforts by losing his maiden tag over the C&D last month. A 7lbs rise looks about right while ROCK MELODY gets an 8lbs hike for a convincing success over 1m4f at Listowel. Jim Bolger's colt is progressing nicely and had previously finished very strongly over a mile at the Curragh so this trip should prove ideal and he can complete a double. Articilitis is very much at home on testing ground and returned to something like her best when runner-up to Saajidah at Roscommon. She's on the same mark here and must be a threat while Humor Me Rene, twice a winner on fast ground in mid-summer, shows that she handles softer ground with an eye-catching run at Listowel last time.
