Verdict

Grand Inquisitor, a previous course winner, again ran well over track and trip last time off this mark. He shouldn’t be far away again while, at the other end of the handicap, Miss Pacific also has place claims. Fastar is still creeping up the weights but remains in good heart and Call Me Grumpy scored over 7f here in June, though has not progressed as expected since. DIRECTORSHIP has finished behind Grand Inquisitor the last twice but Patrick Chamings’ veteran has a decent chance of turning the tables today as he now competes off a lower mark than when second at Ascot and Leicester in the spring and likes the uphill finish here. Palmerston and Sea Shack also have a squeak.
