In depth

Verdict

A good effort over course and distance sways us towards Prince Golan who can get the better of Fongs Gazelle and Perlachy. Kevin Ryan continues to pick up plenty of prizes and Prince Golan can add to that tally. He was only beaten a couple of lengths by Always Fruitful on his debut and he should improve for the experience. Fongs Gazelle has similar form claims having finished fourth to Amber Valley at Haydock. The extra furlong should suit and a big run can be expected from Mark Johnston's filly. Perlachy was a little one paced when finishing five lengths behind Lovelace over the minimum trip at Thirsk recently. The extra furlong could bring out improvement and he is fancied to make his presence felt. The pick of the newcomers could be the nicely bred Prince Rossi, but there is no substitute for experience and Prince Golan can use his this afternoon to land first prize.
