In depth

Verdict

Tokyo Jo already has the form in the book to win a race like this and is fancied to resist the challenges of Sad Times and Minnie Magician, who appeal as the best of the rest. Minnie Magician has shown consistency in her three starts so far and, being surrounded by the likely principle players, has a good draw in stall five. The daughter of Wizard King looks a fair proposition to make the frame. Sad Times has to be given a big shout judged by her close second at Warwick at the start of April. Today's extra furlong will help compensate if she is tardy from the gates and she looks the main danger to the selection. However, she posted a modest effort last time, so attention to the market is advised before getting heavily involved with her. Tokyo Jo also shapes as if this step up in distance will bring the best out of her. Robert Winston doing the steering is another major plus beside her name and she need only run true to form to get off the mark today.
