In depth

Verdict

Morning Post's form is not straightforward, having finished in a respectable mid-division position in the Weatherby's Super Sprint behind Peniaphobia, prior to which he was swept aside by an easy 4l by Overstep. The latter went on to finish a 21l last of four at Newmarket last weekend which makes form assessment a difficult issue as that's unlikely to have been his true form. SMART SALUTE was close to making a winning debut at Windsor when a head second to Nezar and Ed Walker is enjoying a strong run with stable juveniles at present. The Royal Applause colt is taken to go one better, with Thornaby Nash also respected on the back of a couple of fair efforts. Secret Oasis, Jaeger Connoisseur, Dutch Breeze and Roachdale House are all potentially interesting newcomers and the market should steer punters in the right direction regarding their prospects.
