Verdict

Discay cannot be discounted with the Mark Johnston yard in such outstanding shape in what rates an open contest. The ex-Gosden inmate, Morocco, has yet to sparkle for David O'Meara and looks inconsistent, whilst Day Of Destiny looks best of the Given pair but landed his sole success on fibresand. Gold Show delivered a couple of poor performances in the midst of four solid efforts and will definitely benefit from the return to this trip after a one-paced fourth behind Robert The Painter over 1m last time at Beverley. He could be the one on the best of his form but SPES NOSTRA is preferred. The Barron charge was off for 17 months before finishing a fine second to Karaka Jack at Hamilton, after which he looked ill at ease next time at Musselburgh. He's clearly had his problems and probably 'bounced' the last day but boasts strong credentials at his best. Rock Supreme, better last time, is not ruled out off topweight.
