Verdict

The vote here goes to Dispol Isle ahead of Special Gold, Drum Dance and Victoria Peek. Dispol Isle put in her best effort yet when third in Redcar's valuable sales race last October, on the basis of which she would hold excellent claims today. Ok, her last three runs have hardly been eyecatching for the right reasons, but they were over seven and, back at six today, we afford her all due respect. Her biggest danger could prove to be Special Gold, whose fourth to Pivotal's Princess in a Thirsk maiden has been boosted since, and she has now won her maiden. Hillside Heather has not built on her maiden win, while much as Drum Dance has disappointed twice since a maiden win, the grader has now dropped him ten pounds and that should help matters along. Victoria Peek put in an improved effort over five at Beverley last time and is well worth trying back at the six-furlong trip and could go well. As Handsome Does also improved last time, but that was in a Ladies event so the form - as with a number of those near the bottom of the weights, plus Mostanad - is hard to fully quantify. Skiddaw Wolf has a chance based on his all-weather form, while the chance of World At My Feet is also a little hard to enthuse over. Overall, then, the vote goes to Dispol Isle.
