Verdict

Dancer's Serenade may do best of the northern challengers, but it should rest between the Newmarket raiders Gone Fishing and Northern Splendour, with the last named getting our vote. Saeed bin Suroor's colt showed plenty of promise on his debut when a close up third behind dead-heaters Stagbury Hill and St Andrews Storm. This son of Giant's Causeway needed that experience and should improve leaps and bounds. Gone Fishing was well supported when finishing in mid-field behind Massa, a stable-mate of the selection. She wasn't given a hard time once her chance had gone and is another entitled to improve. Tom Tate's horse are in fine form at the moment and Dancer's Serenade displayed plenty of ability finishing third behind Buddy Brown at Ayr, despite running very green. Of the rest watch out for any market moves for wolf Hammer, but the southern yards look to have the edge here and Northern Splendour looks the pick.
