Verdict

Sylvester Kirk looks to have found a suitable opportunity for Safendonseabiscuit to open his account and he is taken to do so with Campeon and Pacific Star rated the biggest dangers. The selection has shown improvement with each start and seemed to handle the step up to this trip when third at Salisbury on his latest start. Safendonseabiscuit makes more appeal than Mark Wallace's Campeon, who is beginning to look exposed but who tackles a new trip today. A bigger threat looks to be Ed Dunlop's Pacific Star, who comes from a stable whose two-year-olds tend to improve with racing. Bill Turner's juveniles are in good form at present so Dusty Dane has to be respected, while He's A Diamond is less exposed than most after just one career start and may improve for it. Mick Channon's Bobbie Love has shown signs of ability in two starts to date but Safendonseabiscuit holds the best form and he gets the vote.
