Verdict

A poor turnout for the prize money, but a trappy contest nonetheless. Vicious Warrior proved very game when wearing down Bandler Ching at Doncaster and the biggest worry here is that he may not get the sound pace that he needs. He has nothing to fear from Ring Of Destiny on that running as he only meets that rival on 4lb worse terms for just over nine lengths. Beat The Heat was flattered by his effort at Newmarket as he set a steady pace in front and if no one takes him on, he could well have a soft lead again. Course and distance winner Derwent doesn't look good enough.
