      Verdict

CHEERS FOR THEA gets our vote in this fillies' handicap; the list of dangers is headed by Shekan Star and Wogan's Sister. Tim Easterby's stable have had a few winners in the last couple of weeks and Cheers For Thea can provide him with another success here. The selection won over this course and distance last July and she has shown enough on her last couple of starts to suggest that she is primed to take her chance today. She is proven on the ground and she looks set to make a bold bid. Shekan Star won a fillies' handicap at Beverley last month and as that was her first run since October it is fair to assume there may be more to come. Wogan's Sister ran out of steam at Windsor last time out but that run should give her a fitness edge tonight and she does have a decent overall strike-rate. Black Dahlia looks to be in the grip of the handicapper at the moment and she is readily opposed. Marco Botti's Calling Victory is a lightly-raced filly and she is worth a market check on her handicap debut. But Cheers For Thea looks to have more solid claims and she gets the nomination.
