Verdict

ANDRASTA, Sea Rover and King of Swords are the three against the field here, with Andrasta a brave selection to follow up a shock win last time. Yet to be placed in previous attempts over the minimum trip, Sea Rover ran well after a lay off of a year to be second at Thirsk. That was a terrific effort, where he showed good pace to be leading after five furlongs, and dropped to that trip here, he looks a lively contender. King of Swords also looks a leading player on the evidence of his runner up spot recently. That was his second run of the season and he should be spot on now, while his last win came when there was some cut in the ground so he should enjoy the prevalent surface. Andrasta had given little hint of a return to form after some dismal efforts, before pulling off a shock win at Hamilton recently. That was a fine performance, and though he carries a penalty here, he receives weight from his main rivals. His ability to handle the easy ground is important, and Andrasta is taken to change the habit of a lifetime and turn in two successive good runs.
