      Verdict

      Battle Commence did well to score at Hamilton as he still showed signs of greenness in the closing stages. He had earlier finished over four lengths behind I Know How at Thirsk but that was on ground with plenty of give. The winner hasn't run subsequently but will have made progress while FINAL GO ran a fine race when attempting to concede Queens Gift 5lb at Ripon with an odds-on chance behind. The latter could be good enough here as though Enzo's Lad won a Yarmouth handicap in April he then ran poorly at Nottingham. Walk On Walter attempted to make all at Windsor, as he had done at Newcastle earlier, but had no answer when How Far quickened past him.
