Verdict

Irishkawa Bellvue is the likely winner of this modest event, Corporate Player and High Peak could provide most danger. The selection was most impressive when readily landing a similar contest at Newton abbot last month. He jumped superbly to finish twelve lengths clear of Mac Hine and a repeat of that effort should easily be good enough again this afternoon. Corporate Player hasn't raced since December but has been a pretty classy performer in the past and if fit for his return should make his presence felt despite top-weight. High Peak didn't jump too well last time at Worcester but still got within two lengths of the winner Lake Merced. If he puts his best foot forward today he will be a major threat to all. Best of the others could be Hattington, but Irishkawa Bellevue cannot be ignored in this mood and is a confident choice.
