In depth

Verdict

Some top yards represented here and it will pay to check out the betting market, but we will take a chance on Farnaheezview, who could face most danger from Bally Good and The Wooden Spoon. The selection is trained by Oliver Sherwood who does well in this sort of event. The booking of the champion jockey could be significant and if attracting support could be well worth a small wager. Lady Herries sends out Rue du Rivoli who is bred for the game, but the other newcomer we like is the Brendan Powell trained Bally Good, a five-year-old by the high class Alderbrook that will know what is required. Of the horses with form The Wooden Spoon made a promising debut at Lingfield when a close up sixth behind Doce Vida, this one could well run into a place. So not a race to get too involved in and Farnaheezview gets a speculative vote.
