Irish raider He's A Hotshot is a tentative selection in a really tough handicap; Panache De Thaix and Kyathos are others to bear in mind, while Cool Cossack is no back number, even though top weight does him very few favours. The ground should not inconvenience Sue Smith's charge, though. And he could be good vale for at least a place in the frame. Kyathos has been consistent (yet expensive to follow) of late and is not without claims at this level. The Milton Harris-trained gelding is holding his form well and, with his jockey taking 5lb off with his claim, a big run can be expected. Panache De Thaix has started to show ability and is going the right way to pick up a contest of this nature. He does need to keep improving but, as this is only his seventh visit to a racecourse, he still has time on his side. However, He's A Hotpot has arguably taken on much stiffer opponents in his native Ireland and, having gone very close in two previous visits to these shores, this looks a fair opening for him to get his head in front for the first time.
