      Verdict

The progressive SEPAL (NAP) remains in fine form. Iain Jardine’s filly found only one too good bidding for a five-timer over today’s trip at Haydock and drops down a grade for this. Stoney Broke has been thereabouts over 1m4f recently while Melinoe scored over track and trip in August and has been narrowly beaten in both subsequent starts. The latter is closely matched with Fire Jet on recent running while Return Ace is back on a winning mark as she returns to handicap company and is not out of this either in a competitive contest.
