LORD OF THE REINS is the chosen one with Chosen One and Tartatartufata also making the shortlist. The selection is 15lbs lower than when last successful at Newmarket in August of last season and has recently shaped as though a return to the winners' enclosure could be imminent as he'd have gone close at Beverley with a clear passage. Chosen One won the race on his side at Ayr to signal his return to form and he remains well handicapped despite the adjustment in his mark; he looks well enough drawn on this occasion. Tartatartufata is also well treated although it's been some time since she won a race on turf which counts against her; that said, she's twice played the bridesmaid over this course and distance and should give it a good go. Solemn comes here in good form and should go well again whilst Joyeaux is another worthy of a mention as she's running fairly well and is reasonably treated but preference is for Lord Of The Reins.
