Verdict

WE open with a pretty tricky maiden and while we respect a newcomer from top connections in Maskan we'll give DR FINLEY a chance to repay punters after disappointing effort last time and Harlestone Times wouldn't have to find much improvement to go close either. After improving from first run to second the selection may have been found out by very quick ground over a furlong less last time. The cut likely in the ground this time should be a better option for him and he has shaped as if this mile jaunt is the way to go. Harlestone Times has just about improved in all three runs so far and despite not quite getting home over this stamina test at Ffos Las on his latest start the mile at Brighton is slightly easier to get and we expected another bold show. Maskan has a nice-looking pedigree and is bred to go well over this sort of trip so should be closely watched in the market for positive signs of a good debut effort while Santa Margherita hasn't progressed in a couple of starts but the extra yardage here should help.
