Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

The ones to focus on appear to be Admiral, Sailmaker, Song Of Vala, Inchconnel, Concert Hall and Sahool, with Admiral getting the vote. The selection should be sharper for his Newmarket debut effort 20 days ago, in which he showed promise, and can go well. Looking at the other runners. Elusive Dream showed some promise on his debut and it would be no surprise to see him step up on that; Inchconnel stepped up on his debut run to finish third at Newcastle last time, and that run gives him chances. No Dilemma made some late headway on his debut at Newmarket five days ago and should be open to some improvement. The same comments apply to Redmarley based on his Haydock debut in September. Sailmaker is quite well bred and any market moves would be interesting. From the same stable, Song Of Vala improved on his debut effort to finish fourth at Newbury 12 days ago (with Tiz Molly back in 13th). Concert Hall has clearly shown something at home, as she has been backed on both starts so far, although the bare form is not out of the ordinary. That said, this race lacks strength in depth. Sahool cost 180,000 guineas and is well-bred. She did not show too much on her debut but could well feature here anyway. It's a race of ifs and buts but, for us, Admiral can put his debut experience to good use and score here.
