In depth

Verdict

A mammoth nine-race card gets under way with a juvenile maiden in which Alexander Charlote can make experience tell over the likes of Here To Me, Muktasb and Prenup. The final week of the Turf Flat season is renowned for large uninspiring fields, and many trainers are keen to get a run into their youngsters before going into winter quarters. Barry Hills will be fairly confident that Alexander Charlote can improve enough to score after four outings so far. The latest of those was at Redcar where she had the misfortune to run into the odds-on Bread Of Heaven, but she was not beaten far. Earlier efforts at York, Kempton and here at Nottingham suggest that this affair should be well within her compass. Muktasb was mid-division in a decent Newmarket maiden and should also be in the reckoning, while Prenup is a filly for next season. Here To Me has already had lots of opportunities but will have her supporters under Pat Eddery. However, for the winner we return to Alexander Charlote, drawn low in stall three.
