    Verdict

These types of races are difficult to assess so watch the betting market for clues but we'll give the call to Stylish Sunrise over Albinus, Fitting Guest, Ma Yahab and Gironde. The selection improved markedly on his debut effort to finish third to Putra Sas at York last time and, given that he will not lack for fitness or experience, gets our vote in a tricky contest. Looking at the others. Albinus is a half-brother to the high-class Alborada; Bonjour Bond has a chance based on his debut run but disappointed last time; Burley Flame cost 42,000 guineas and is related to numerous winners; Fitting Guest, a half brother to Nice One Clare; cost 160,000 guineas and showed promise here when fourth on his debut nine days ago, a race in which Luca Cumani's Ma Yahab finished second; Sir Michael Stoute runs Gironde, a 280,000 guineas purchase and a son of Sadler's Wells; Over The Years is from a decent American family; Roger Charlton's Rarefied show a little bit of promise on his debut here over course and distance 15 days ago; the trainer also runs Worcester Lodge, who improved on his debut when fourth over course and distance here last time; Richard Hannon runs the Linamix colt, Turnstile; Amanda Perrett's Vaughan suggested he needed a bit more time based on his Newbury debut effort; Victory Lap was a relatively cheap purchase whose dam is related to the high-class Seattle Rhyme, and Principessa, who cost 360,000 euros, is another one that adds interest to this maiden contest. Plenty of winners should come from this race, so it's one to watch for the future. For today, though, we'll side with Stylish Sunrise.
