Verdict

Easily the most valuable race on the card has cut up badly and it will be a surprise if Dubai Destination fails to make a winning return at the main expense of Binary File. Godolphin's lightly raced four-year-old had Classic aspirations after a defeat of Rock of Gibraltar in the Group 2 Champagne Stakes at Doncaster as a juvenile in September 2001. However, injury problems restricted his three-year-old campaign to just one outing, when a creditable runner-up behind the ill-fated Coshocton at Goodwood over a year ago. Reportedly working well ahead of his much-heralded return, this looks a good starting point for the classy son of Kingmambo before tackling top Pattern events in the coming months. Binary File showed himself to be a smart performer last term having landed a York Listed event before finishing an honourable runner-up in a Group 2 in France on his final start in October. There should be more to come from this progressive type but he will surely struggle to give the selection 10lb while Cornelius is a tough handicapper at his best but looks out of his depth at this level.
