In depth

Verdict

Honan will go close in his hat-trick bid but we will take him on this evening with Take The Oath, Wild Power looks the pick of the remainder. David Gandolpho's eight-year-old had shown very little before winning at Huntingdon. It was the style of victory that caught the eye as he was always moving sweetly and easily accounted for Meltonian. He gets in here off bottom weight and looks certain to go close. Honan has hit form with a vengeance with two convincing victories, however we think he will struggle to give 33 pounds to our selection. Wild Power comes into the argument following a close up second to French Direction at Fontwell last time. While Saby can also be given a chance on the pick of last years efforts, however Take The Oath looks a horse on the upgrade and is given a confident vote.
