In depth

Verdict

Chivite won nicely at Hereford last time but may find it difficult to give six pounds to Milord Lescribaa over this longer trip, Papillon de Lena should prove to be the pick of the remainder. Milord Lescribaa produced a much improved performance last time when finishing an excellent second to Nawow at Southwell, with the 107 rated Hey Boy well held in third. Further progression is expected and he looks the one to be on. Chivite was a top handicap hurdler and gained a comfortable victory over Dad's Elect on his chase debut. That was over two furlongs shorter though and this trip may just test his stamina. Papillon de Iena was a bit of a frustrating character over hurdles but made a pleasing chase debut behind Chivite. He should get a lot closer to that rival today. The other runners look up against it and so in what is basically a three horse war Milord Lescribaa gets the vote
