In depth

Verdict

Johnny Rocco ran green when attracting market support at Fontwell in May and will know more today. He is less exposed than Dancing Grey but NINTH WAVE represents last year’s winning trainer/jockey combination and was bought for £40,000 in May after running away with a Flat race on the Ludlow point-to-point course. The yard also run Dark Episode, who is a half-brother to five winning jumpers, while Paul Nicholls is represented by the €100,000 purchase Enrilo. Winningseverything, a half-brother to four winners, is another newcomer that catches the eye on breeding.
